HAYKUS: On Tuesday, August 5, 2008, Thadeus "Ted"
Joseph Haykus of Grand Bend, formerly of Mississauga, passed away peacefully
at home, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Donna (Thomson)
Haykus, loving and generous father of Tracey and Bob Neeb of Oakville,
Erica and Jerry Kozlowski of Baltimore, MD., and special "Papa"
of Sam and Ben Neeb. Dear brother of Lottie Budzynski of Plymouth, MI.,
brother-in-law of Andrew Thomson of British Columbia, and fondly remembered
by his nieces, nephews and their families. Ted is predeceased by his
siblings Julius, Frank, Stanley and Anna, as well as his brother-in-law
Ted Budzynski. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral
Home, Dashwood, with visitation Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 2
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers at the Funeral Home Friday, August
8, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. The Funeral Mass will follow and be celebrated
by the Rev. Father Peter Poel at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary
Roman Catholic Church, Grand Bend. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand
Bend. If desired, memorial donations to the Sarnia-Lambton V.O.N., or
the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Ted's passion to serve
others led him to work countless hours as a Rotarian in support of projects
within this community. Often on the road, chasing flea markets as "The
Clip Man," he helped many to complete their dream projects
by finding the perfect clip. Ted's home away from home was at Ted's
Shed, but was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends at
his home on the beach. With his loved one's by his side, after a long
and courageous battle and the joy of many sunsets, he was welcomed Home
in the light of his "Eternal Sunrise."
