DURDIN: Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Friday March 13, 2009, Sigrid Sophia "Siggie" Durdin of Dashwood, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles "Bud" Durdin (2002). Loved mother of Karn and Don Thornton of Grand Bend, Lorelei and Tom Gloor of Port Stanley and Dan Durdin of Dashwood. Loving grandmother of Chris Thornton (Morgan) , Ashton Thornton, Kalvin Thornton, Becka Gloor (Tim) and Jesi Gloor (Adam). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Karen & Bill Nolan of Shell Beach California, Loric "Pete" and Linda Pedersen of St. Thomas and Doris Durdin of Barrie. Loved and remembered by Karen Rader (Scott) of Dashwood and her many other nieces, nephews, Danish relatives and their families. Predeceased by her son Peter Wayne Durdin (infancy), her parents Oluf and Karen (Andersen ) Pedersen , sisters Inga Manuel and Martha Penn. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman and Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Sunday 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the Funeral and Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Bend Branch No. 498 Services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 11 a.m. Tracey Whitson-Bahro officiating. Cremation. Interment later at Exeter Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Red Cross or charity of choice would be appreciated. Siggie served with the R.C.N.V.R. "WRENS" during WWII.
